Aussies unhappy with $620m of unwanted Christmas presents

Some selfish Aussies are unhappy with $620 million worth of unwanted Christmas presents, according to research for some free publicity for an online selling platform. Comment below if you wish as we take a brief look at it?

Needy first?

The first question that we should all be asking is why are these selfish people selling their gifts online instead of giving them to the needy? The gifts were free for the recipients so why the greed in selling them for money? Too much credit to repay from their own spending spree? If the estimate of $620 million worth of unwanted gifts Aussies were given is even remotely true then imagine how much that could help the needy and the economy in a better way?

Unwanted Christmas gifts

This whole free publicity story shows some of the folly of the commercialisation of a religious time of celebration of birth. The economy would be better served by Australians not giving the needy such a slap in the face by overspending on useless junk. Some of what the story suggests are unwanted gifts are items like tea towels, candles, bath salts, handkerchiefs, fly catchers and knitted cardigans. Categories on the online selling platform that feature these include appliances, books and games, women’s clothing and home decor.

What does it say about the quality of the gifts too?
