#AdelaideEarthquake | Adelaide earthquake 2nd February 2017
02/02/2017 | By: Sebastian |
Adelaide was shaken by a minor earthquake at approximately 12:05am on the 2nd February, 2017.
Just after the earthquake, dozens of people took to Twitter and hundreds posted within 20 minutes on the ABC Adelaide Facebook post on the topic. They said that they heard the rumble and windows shaking. The earthquake was felt in the inner northern suburbs, north eastern suburbs and down to Strathalbyn, people said. People on this site’s Facebook page have said that they felt it in Victor Harbour as well. The local rag posted a Facebook post and people there said that they felt it in the Barossa Valley too.
Edited this to say that Geoscience Australia has confirmed that it was a 3.7 magnitude earthquake beginning in Murray Bridge at 12:08am.
Here is the usual meme that I posted on this site’s Facebook page in the #AdelaideEarthquake 2nd February, 2017 post 🙂
